Warnings to Personnel carrying out the service or repair of a divers life support equipment

• The servicing of any life support equipment should only be carried out when ALL of the following conditions are met.
• The repair technician has undergone recognized training.
• The repair technician has an up-to-date copy of the manufacturers service handbook.
• The repair technician has all the manufacturer recommended spare parts to complete the repair.
• The repair technician has available all the custom tools necessary to accomplish the task.
• The repair technician has all the manufacturer specified greases (usually Silicone or Christolube).
• The repair technician has all the manufacturer specified solvents necessary to clean the item in accordance with the manner specified in the manufacturers handbook, such as using an ultrasonic bath.
